PropaGator Follow up meeting

We had a class Charlie (electrical) fire when we began testing on our new Power Router board. The board allowed power from the batteries to energize our computers and motors.  It also protected  our boat reverse polarity, power surges, and it protected our batteries from being overdrawn. Our board was supposed to be rated at 40 Amps.  However, we never made it passed 22 Amps due to an overlooked power trace. The PropaGator Team will be meeting in the Machine Intelligence Lab on January 8th 2013, at 5:10 PM.  We will be setting the pace of the construction of PropaGator from January until the competition in July.  We’re looking for max participation during this meeting.  Anyone interested in the program is welcome to come visit.

About Us

Winner of the 2013 RoboBoat competition, PropaGator is an autonomous surface vehicle designed and built by students at the Machine Intelligence Lab (MIL) at the University of Florida. This is the third year the University of Florida has participated in the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems International (AUVSI) Foundation’s surface vehicle competition. The PropaGator team is comprised of graduate and undergraduate students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and the Department of Computer and Information Science and Engineering.

Formal weekly meetings are over for the summer. Interested students are welcome to stop by during normal working hours or whenever the door is open.
